Most times we see acrylic and oil paintings they are on stretched canvas or boards. Occasionally we will see one on paper, like this one. Framed Desiderata!
This wonderful poem from the 1920s has been printed on heavy paper and we framed it to hang in a client's home. We used a neutrally colored linen mat with a drab olive inner mat and a rustic silver hand-finished Italian moulding, 2 1/4" wide with a graceful sloping shape. Check out this fantastic print from a woodcut by Greenville, SC artist Kent Ambler! Seemingly as large as the Declaration of Independence (and with as many signatures!) College of Charleston Diplomas command respect.
