This was a fun project. Our customer had these 6" x 4" photos from a firework display, we helped her arrange them into a nicely framed collage. We cut nine windows into a black suede mat and framed it with a 1 1/2" contemporary silver wood moulding. The finished piece is fun to look at! Fabulous Old Portrait!
Recently we framed this old portrait, it is tiny and printed on some sort of porcelain! The porcelain only measures about 3" x 4" (the entire frame only measures about 7" x 8"!) so we used a small bluish linen mat and a small Italian moulding that has a repeating design. Framed Tiles!
Having received these little tiles recently we decided to frame them instead of leaving them laying about! (We're framers... we frame things.) We used a 7/8" Italian hand-finished distressed black olive wood frame and left it without glass. Each tile measures 4 1/4" square making the whole framed piece about 14" x 10".
