Framed Blarney Castle Miniature Hand-colored Engraving!

Framed Blarney Castle Miniature Hand-colored Engraving!

This exquisite little piece is matted in a grey linen with a thin yellow accent mat. The frame is a 3/4″ wide pewter finished Italian with a repeating architectural design. This piece measures about 10″ by 8″. Excellent!

Framed Miniature Antique Map!

Framed Miniature Antique Map!

This delicate little map of “Porto Rico” is over 100 years old and is SMALL! (wait, small!) The entire frame is only 4″ high by 7″ wide. We used a drab colored (to match the paper color of the mat) acid-free museum quality 100% cotton rag map and a small dark stained frame that has a small repeating rib design.

Fabulous Old Portrait!

Fabulous Old Portrait!

Recently we framed this old portrait, it is tiny and printed on some sort of porcelain! The porcelain only measures about 3″ x 4″ (the entire frame only measures about 7″ x 8″!) so we used a small bluish linen mat and a small Italian moulding that has a repeating design. We raised the portrait from the mat ever so slightly and used spacers to keep the glass from touching. Exquisite!

Pair of Antique European Engravings!

Pair of Antique European Engravings!

This nice little pair of old hand-coloured engravings was in some less than desirable frames (shall we say!) We took those old frames oof and threw them as far as we could. We think these pics look better in these Italian frames and rag mats. They measure about 16″ x 24″ each. Lovely!

Set of Four Antique Land Plats, Some Framed Front and Back!

Set of Four Antique Land Plats, Some Framed Front and Back!

This was a fun little job, a dear client allowed us to frame some old (I mean OLD! One is from 1829) land plats and deeds. We sandwiched them between two acid-free rag mats (no adhesives) and glassed them front and back. A deep hand-finished Italian distressed moulding completes the job. They aren’t inexpensive, but they will outlast all of us!

Antique Engraving in Vintage Frame!

Antique Engraving in Vintage Frame!

We rematted and glassed this 1883 engraving for a customer. The frame appears to be original! This piece measures about 24″ x 30″.
