When moving from their childhood home these folks had the foresight to commission a local artist to capture their home in a watercolor. We matted it in a neutral linen and used a traditional wood panel moulding with gold accents. This piece measures about 30″ wide. Lovely!

Framed Watercolor Giclee’ by Anne Hightower-Patterson!

This lovely watercolor giclee’ by accomplished and celebrated South Carolina artist Anne Hightower-Patterson titled “Looking to the Future” depicts a threesome of Haitian children sitting on a wall, we can’t tell what they are watching so intently (it adds to the mystery.) The artist used warm and cold shades together (not easy!) and the playful innocence of the children really shines through her work. We matted it in a textured off white with blue inner mat. The frame is a 1″ distressed grey with blue rustic (Made in the USA!) This piece measures about 22″ by 18″. http://annehightowerpatterson.fineartstudioonline.com/works/1127614/looking-to-the-future

Ultra Contemporary Frame for an Ultra Contemporary House Watercolor!

Ultra Contemporary Frame for an Ultra Contemporary House Watercolor!

This watercolor of a postmodern house is dynamic with it’s lines and angles. We decided to keep those ideals in mind when choosing the frame, picking a thin, very glossy wood frame (Made in Italy) that has a feel of galvanized metal. We kept the mat (Made in the USA) very thin as well. This piece measures about 14″ x 20″.

We recently reframed this print, (it was in a really bad metal frame!) of the Millwood Ruins located in Columba SC. It was painted by the esteemed Elizabeth O’Neill Verner. We used a neutral white rag mat with a sliver of a warm charcoal and then a hand-finished Italian frame having nice Gothic detailing. This piece measures about 30″ x 24″ and is exquisite! Framed Watercolor of Brick Kilns!

We enjoyed framing this nice watercolour recently. The honeycomb brick kilns are located in Cayce, SC just across the river from Columbia. Local artist Linda Neely painted this large watercolour (image measures about 30″ x 22″.) We matted it in a neutral white with brick accent and used a copper-toned flat contemporary 2 1/2″ moulding. Very nice! If you are looking for a Columbia frame shop give us a call!
