Original Acrylic by Shelby LeBlanc!

Here is a nice little acrylic (canvas is 24″ by 12″) by local artist Shelby LeBlanc. She chose a 3/4″ natural wood veneer frame with a deep enough rabbet to handle the stretcher strip. We love it! Check out Shelby at art shows around the Columbia area.

Framed Philip Morsberger Oil Painting!

Framed Philip Morsberger Oil Painting!

One of the coolest things we have framed in a while at Elite Framing is this Philip Morsberger oil painting. The painting itself measures about 20″ by 30″ and we stacked TWO floater frames, one solid walnut and one solid maple (Made in the USA!) (tricky! indeed) Morsberger painted this piece over the past twenty years! It is fun to lok at (it was NOT fun to frame! Difficult work!)

This exciting small oil painting by renowned artist Osamu Kobayashi only measures about 10″ square, but it is powerful! We used a thin solid walnut Floater Frame, very contemporary! We are posting several pics, some with the flash on and some with the flash off, so you can see the subtle and deliberate textures Kobayashi employs. Wonderful!

Framed Vertical Triptych! By SC Artist Scotty Peek!

Framed Vertical Triptych! By SC Artist Scotty Peek!

This was a fun project, local artist Scotty Peek had created a three piece oil painting grouping that simulated the stacked windows in an office (a co-worker was retiring and this was her view from her desk!) We built three frames and attached them together to hang as one piece. What a thoughtful and well-executed gift! This piece measures over five feet tall! If you have an unusual framing project call us at Elite Framing in Columbia, SC. We have ideas, come get you some.

Floater Frames are Contemporary and Inexpensive!

Floater Frames are Contemporary and Inexpensive!

Floater Frames are a neat way to frame oil paintings (and some other items, as well) providing a contemporary look while keeping prices low. We recently framed this Meredith Christenberry oil with a gold floater frame, the canvas itself measures about 30″ x 24″, we used a 1/2″ spacing. Excellent!
