Throwback Thursday! 2001 Outback Bowl! Gamecock Frame!

Throwback Thursday! 2001 Outback Bowl! Gamecock Frame!

Who remembers the 2001 Outback Bowl? Ryan Brewer was the hero, he had 200+ all purpose yards and three touchdowns for The Gamecocks against the Ohio State Buckeyes. This was seen as some redemption since Brewer was from the state of Ohio (He was Mr. Football there his senior year of high school!) and Ohio State DID NOT OFFER him a scholarship. The Gamecocks offered him! And now Ryan Brewer has his place amongst the legends of South Carolina football! We framed this newspaper photo in the Gamecock frame, Ryan Brewer autographed it himself, dedicating the inscription to one lucky Caroline!

Framed 1984 Gamecock Football Season Tickets!

Framed 1984 Gamecock Football Season Tickets!

We recently framed a set of 1984 Gamecock season tickets unused!! The story goes that the fans received their tickets in the mail a few months before the season began and promptly misplaced them. The University replaced the tickets and all was well. Fast forward thirty years and the fans found the original tickets! What to do with them? Frame them, of course! Ww used the “Gamecock” moulding and black mats. We even placed some small engraved tags over each game with the scores (all wins!) 1984 was the famously successful “Black Magic” year under Coach Joe Morrison. (Dang you Navy Midshipmen!) Framing one was so much fun we did it twice!
