Framed Terry Kath Poster! Chicago!

Artist Greg Sellars created this dynamic image of one of American music’s most influential and important guitarists. This Terry Kath poster measures about 27″ by 33″ framed. We used a black suede mat and a 1 1/2″ distressed Italian black frame with a silver lip, making it just a bit contemporary. Colour My World, indeed, Mr. Kath! Thank you for the music.

This cool Steely Dan poster from a 2011 concert in Philadelphia is printed on heavy black paper with two colors. Designed by Joe Castro, this poster measures about 13″ by 19″. We matted it in a drab green/grey and used a blue/greenish 1 1/8″ distressed frame. “Hey 19! That’s (NOT) ‘Retha Franklin!” (It is actually William S. Burroughs!)

Framed Storybook Posters! Music Together!

Framed Storybook Posters! Music Together!

Recently a customer brought in these three posters to frame for her daughter’s room. They are participants in the Music Together educational program, these posters are from some of their favorite song activities, wonderfully illustrated . We wanted clean white frames with no mats, as the posters were already large (three feet wide each!) Very nice.

Wonderfully Framed String Cheese Incident Poster! Awesome!

Wonderfully Framed String Cheese Incident Poster! Awesome!

This commemorative poster from String Cheese Incident’s New Year’s run in Broomfield (or is it Bloomfield?) Colorado. The tickets have a misspelling! Regardless, this package looks fantastic with this saffron suede top mat with a rich brown bottom mat. The frame is a wonderful 2″ brown Celtic knot inspired design, hand finished in Italy. This piece measures all of 40″ tall! A very nicely framed concert poster.

Sanford Green Artwork Autographed by Ghost Face and Phife!

This excellent piece created by acclaimed illustrator Sanford Green features a mixture of superheroes and rap stars. It is signed by both Ghost Face Killah and Phife Dawg! We matted it in a black suede and repurposed a larger frame by cutting it down to size. “When’s the last time you heard a funky diabetic?”

Framed Parisian Oil Painting!

Framed Parisian Oil Painting!

We frame many pieces of art that our customers bring back from trips to Paris and this one is as authentic as they get. Most of the oil paintings we see have been removed from their original stretcher strips and rolled for transport in a tube. Not this one! An older painting, the customer wanted to preserve the integrity of the piece by leaving it on the original stretcher strips and going through the expense of shipping it overseas in a large flat box. We put a 2″ gold ornate frame on it (Made in France! appropriately enough!) This piece measures about 28″ by 20″. Fabuleux!

Framed Basketball Jersey! Alex English! Made in the USA!

Framed Basketball Jersey! Alex English! Made in the USA!

NBA Hall of Famer Alex English was known for his sneaky elegance around the post, earning him the nickname “Flick” for his straight-armed shooting style allowing him to score over taller opponents. And score he did! One of our customers scored this autographed Denver Nuggets jersey from the man. We hand-stitched the jersey onto a blue suede backing board and used a 2″ black rope motif moulding for the frame. (Made in the USA!) We used hidden spacers to keep the glass off the jersey.
